A Welcome Message from Alison Cornell

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year as Headteacher at Durrington Middle School. The time has passed very quickly and I have been so grateful for all the support I have received from the children, staff and parents at both the First and Middle Schools as the close collaboration between the First and Middle School continues to develop.
The children in Years 4 and 5 are enjoying the superb environment of the new teaching block, officially opened by the Mayor of Worthing and we are all benefitting from the excellent Library and Resource Area.
Our school sports teams have begun to reap the rewards of their hard work and commitment. This year, they have proudly represented the school in athletics, gymnastics, football, cross country, netball, basketball and dance and we now need to purchase a trophy cabinet to accommodate the results of our successes!
We believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we will do all we can to strengthen that partnership.
I look forward to sharing and celebrating with you the successes, the attainment and the achievement of our children in the coming months.
