A Welcome Message from Alison Cornell
 

We hope that our recently launched website will provide you with the answers to some of the questions you may have about our school, its aims, its values and its organisation. Please let us know if you have found it useful or if we have missed something that you feel needs to be included.

I was appointed as Headteacher of Durrington Middle School in April this year whilst retaining the headship of Durrington First School. Both schools are now working in close collaboration whilst retaining their own unique identities. This is an exciting time for us all. There have been, and will continue to be, many changes to the school site. The Durrington Children’s centre placed at the very heart of both schools will be opening shortly and providing services for the Durrington community. The new eight-classroom block and resource centre will open for the new academic year on the Middle School site and we will continue to develop the shared grounds.

We believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we at DMS wish to do all we can to strengthen that partnership.

I look forward to sharing with you the successes, the attainment and the achievement of our children in the coming months.
